Jack Mullarkey
Started Fencing: Jack began fencing in 1963 at the Salem YMCA under Coach Joe Pechinsky.

Coaching experience:
Assistant coach to Joe Pechinsky at the Tanner City Fencers Club for 12 years. During that time Joe Pechinsky developed 5 Olympians with 2 making the Olympic team twice. In addition to the Olympians, Tanner City held at least 12 N.E. Championship and 5 National Championship titles during this period.
Opened 3MB Fencing Club in 2000 and developed fencers that went on to earn the following titles:

Coaching experience:
Assistant coach to Joe Pechinsky at the Tanner City Fencers Club for 26 years. During that time Joe Pechinsky developed 6 Olympians with 2 making the Olympic team twice. In addition to the Olympians, Tanner City held at least 30 N.E. Championship and 7 National Championship titles during this period.
Ed joined Jack at 3MB in 2000 and assisted with the development of the foil fencers while continuing to teach Epee at Tanner City Fencers Club.
In 2001, Ed joined 3MB fulltime and started teaching epee. The epee program has grown rapidly and had many successes.
Jim Mullarkey
Started Fencing: Jim began fencing in 1963 at the Salem YMCA under Coach Joe Pechinsky.
Jim had some competitive successes early in his fencing career but quickly decided that he preferred the teaching role over the competitor.
Jim operates the numerous 3MB sites south of Boston and has brought fencing to hundreds of students over the years. Many students have represented 3MB in local competition and others have gone on to fence for their college teams.
Jim continues to attend fencing seminars to develop his coaching skills and was an assistant to Maestro Alex Beguinet during the 3MB Seminars.
